Travel Wise

TravelWise is an initiative by two travel writers who intend to help people to know places better and get a deeper experience of their journeys.

At TravelWise, we spend a lot of time researching about places we go to. We speak to experts to know more about history, culture, biodiversity and other aspects of interest to the travellers. We talk to locals to understand the traditions, stories and legends associated with each of our destinations. We go through research materials and documents to design trails around a destination as a story telling session that grips even a marginally interested tourist.

At TravelWise, the tours focus on every aspect of experiential travel, such as nature, wildlife, culture and food. At present a well researched trail on the Hoysala Kingdom near Belur and Halebeedu is being conducted regularly, which is received enthusiastically by keen eyed travellers. A trail in Coorg is being launched soon. Await information about more trails being launched every month.

Founders

Lakshmi Sharath. Lakshmi comes with a media background and is also a keen traveller and a travel writer, and has written for several newspapers and travel magazines in the country.

Arun Bhat. Arun Bhat is a former IT professional who quit his cushy deskjob for a career in travel writing and photography. His images and articles have appeared in publications from India and abroad.
